We’re looking for an Information Security Engineer to join us in Manchester to help protect our systems from internal and external cyber threats. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
As an Information Security Lead at Co-op, you’ll work closely alongside our Information Security Leadership team to help make sure our strategy is effective at dealing with the current and future cyber threat landscape. We’ll also look to you to be the go-to colleague for any raised security incidents and be responsible for the technical implementation and delivery of security platforms.
What you’ll do
- Provide technical expertise for the design, implementation, configuration and maintenance of our security toolset
- Help to investigate and resolve any issues identified by our Information Security team
- Lead on the implementation and continuous improvement of our security platforms
- Co-ordinate the onboarding of any upgrades to our security toolset and handover successfully to our third-party supplier
- Make sure the SOPS, Play Books and Use Cases created by our third-party security providers are fit for purpose, and identify potential improvement opportunities
- Provide management and operational support of the Microsoft Cloud Native and AWS security tools
This role would suit people who have
- Significant experience in an Information/Cyber Security Engineering role
- Service delivery and management experience, relevant to the role
- Hands-on experience implementing the Microsoft security tooling/platforms
- Knowledge of SIEM, Anti-Malware platforms, and project methodologies
- An understanding of cloud native security tools and information security best-practices
